Aspire Homes Australia is recruits for Therapeutic Youth Workers in Sydney, Tamwort, Wagga Wagga and Newcastle.

Essential Criteria

Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment

Current National Criminal History Check Clearance

First Aid Certificate, or be prepared to obtain one

A valid driver’s licence

Roadworthy and comprehensively insured vehicle

A relevant qualification in Youth Work or commitment to obtain one where there is demonstrated industry experience

You will

Help provide a safe and secure environment in which children and young people can thrive

Support children and young people as they transition into and out of our care

Support children and young people to achieve their Case Plan goals and teach them life skills

Be an advocate for the young person

Have the necessary skills to manage complex behaviours and challenging situations with empathy and compassion

Be available for shift work

Have strong written and oral communication skills

Be an effective team-player, with the ability to work autonomously

Commit to your ongoing professional development through our foundation training video library

Work in a therapeutic, supportive and committed team environment

Be remunerated according to the SCHADS award; casual base rate of $46.69 – $50.06 + 11.5% super, penalty rates for evenings and weekends, and reimbursement for work related approved travel

Be provided with on-going support and training using reflective practice approaches in the workplace
