Acknowledgement of Country
Aspire Homes Australia acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional owners of the nations in which we serve. We give thanks for their Elders and Custodians of every generation and for their care of this land, we call home. We acknowledge the stories of resilience and survival that make up Indigenous Australia, and give thanks for the way in which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, contribute to the life of this nation.
Aspire Homes was created to meet a clear and urgent need: home-like environments and genuine, skilled care for children and young people
in crisis-based residential settings. I've always believed that a safe home is the foundation of therapeutic care, and I
know firsthand the profound impact that caring, consistent and safe people can have on the life outcomes of vulnerable young people.
Since our founding in 2019, Aspire Homes has stood on two unwavering pillars - Safe Homes and Safe People.
Over the past seven years, we've worked alongside our community to create meaningful change in the lives of many children and young
people.
I remain deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to that journey.
In January 2026, we became a registered charity and achieved our full accreditation under the Office of the Children's Guardian. These
milestones strengthen our alignment with sector expectations and community values, while enhancing oversight, transparency and our
capacity to provide quality care with positive outcomes.
It is my privilege to announce that Julian Tuigamala has been appointed CEO of this charity. His leadership is supported by the
strategic guidance of our board of Directors, and I'm genuinely excited for the future of Aspire Homes - for the children and young people
we support, and for our incredible team of dedicated carers who make our mission possible every day.
Joshua Faith - Founder
Every child in our care has the support to heal from their lived experiences and the opportunity to grow and recognise the potential for a future built on safety, hope and a place to belong.
To ensure a positive and nurturing care experience for every child, built on the ethos of Safe People, Safe Homes.
Our managers hold extensive experience in the out-of-home sector, and we know that high quality care begins with relationship. Whether it is for a day, a week or a month, we actively engage with children and young people and their carers and guardians to create an individual care experience.
We Implement therapeutically evidenced support strategies and deliver goals set out in the child or young person’s case plan, behaviour support plan and leaving care plan.
We recruit experienced care team members who hold the appropriate checks and clearances. We provide ongoing support, professional development mentoring and training.
We provide environments that are safe, secure and feel like a home and we encourage children and young people to contribute
to their spaces.
We work collaboratively with Department of Communities and Justice, service providers, family and extended family members where appropriate. We know this assists to improve outcomes for children and young people.
Our approach to Therapeutic Residential Care is to provide an individually tailored approach to children and young people in statutory Out-of-Home Care who have been affected by adverse childhood experiences. We focus on creating a safe and healing environment that addresses the unique emotional, psychological, physical, cultural and social needs of each individual.
